Matthew Broussard’s “Hyperbolic” Unpacks Being Jewish In The South, Dating An Athlete and Viagra

Comedian Matthew Broussard is stepping into the spotlight in his hilarious and razor-sharp debut full-length comedy special, Hyperbolic.

In Hyperbolic, Matthew masterfully navigates a maze of topics, blending clever penmanship with unapologetic introspection. A Southern Jewish Cajun navigating life in New York City, Matthew shares side-splitting anecdotes about cultural quirks, family dysfunction, and the absurdities of modern masculinity. He analyzes the upsides of anti-Semitism and the downsides of dating a professional athlete, the inefficiency of French phonetics, and hilarious stories of maternal mental illness. There's also a weirdly long and accurate joke about vibrators featuring a really solid cat throw up act out. Broussard delivers a performance both intellectually engaging and chortle-worthy. After memorable performances on Conan, The Tonight Show, Roast Battle, and his own Comedy Central half hour, Broussard finally gets to stretch his legs.

Don’t miss Hyperbolic on 800 Pound Gorilla’s YouTube channel premiering October 28th at 7 PM CST! Matthew will be in the live chat, so come watch along and ask him questions!
