Stand-up Jim Gaffigan has shared some very scary news on his
Facebook page: his wife and frequent collaborator, Jeannie, is recovering from brain surgery to remove a recently found tumor.
The couple has been married for 14 years, and they have five children together; their chaotic life was the basis for TV Land’s
The Gaffigan Show, which they wrote together for two seasons.
It sounds like a best-case scenario, where Jeannie and her medical team were able to identify the issue at an early stage and move quickly into treatment. Gaffigan’s Facebook post has inspired thousands of thoughtful, supportive messages from fans who have heard the comic talk about his beloved wife onstage, and onscreen, for a decade and a half.
