hosted the night of comedy and if you’ve ever seen them at their weekly show,
<p> Big Effin’ Deal </p>
, you know that these two girls can really bring the laughs! With help from
<p> Dave Hill </p>
and
<p> Walter Schreifels </p>
of the
<p> Gorilla Biscuits </p>
, as the house band, the show was off to a great start!
Comedian Jermaine Fowler took the stage first and killed it with jokes about his twin brother and his now ex-girlfriend. It really got the crowd warmed up for a night of great acts to follow.
The thing that is so enjoyable about My Damn Channel LIVE is the interactivity and they brought the same prowess to the Ace Hotel with assistance from the guys over at Record Setter . In just one night Beth, Trish, and the whole audience were able to set two new records. The first record was Most Whoopee Cushions Sat On In 30 Seconds Without Smiling Or Laughing. Beth placed the whoopee cushions while Trish sat on them to set a new record of 24. The second record was Largest Thumb Wrestling Circle, which at a whopping 68 people crushed the current record of just 10. Events like this are what bring an audience together and gets them excited!
My Damn Channel’s very own vlogger,
<p> Shannon Coffey </p>
, took the stage after all of this nonsense and really knew how to work the crowd. Shannon has a level of excitement that is incomparable. After Shannon, Stuckey & Murray took the stage for a few of their hilarious songs, including one dedicated to commenters on their Youtube page. Kate Berlant then took the stage with her stream of conscious comedy and she could not have been funnier.
Finally the headliner,
<p> Todd Barry </p>
, did a solid 20 minute set of his sarcastic humor. Todd Barry is a staple amongst the New York comedy scene and there is a reason for that, he has this ability to take any sort of human behavior and show how extremely ridiculous it can be. The show as a whole was so much fun and for anyone who missed it I highly suggest you come out to the next My Damn Channel Live event.
