
The New York Comedy Festival is returning to NYC for its 15th year and they have big plans for things this time around as they’re expanding their programming to a full week between November 5th and 11th. Just this morning festival organizers announced the initial (17 out of 200 performers) lineup for this year’s festival and there are some big time names performing this year including Bill Burr, Marc Maron, Jimmy Carr, Gabrielle Iglesias, Bert Kreischer, Jason Mewes, Conan O’Brien, Dan Harmon’s Harmontown, Anthony Jeselnik, Bryan Safi and Erin Gibson’s Throwing Shade, Jonathan Van Ness & Antoni Porowski (from Queer Eye), Jim Jefferies, Yvonne Orji, David Cross, Tracey Morgan, Desus & Mero. See!? Great comedians so far.
These are the initial lineup names as the festival gets closer, they also are expected to announce a bunch of show happening in the downtown clubs of the city allowing fans not only to see the biggest names in comedy but also see some of the next wave as well.
TBS is once again involved with the festival, the network is returning this year with a new activation at the TBS Stage at Sony Hall. There the network will host three nights of exclusive shows from Thursday November 8th through Sunday November 11th. The talent for the TBS Stage is expected to be announced this September.
