NASHVILLE, TN: As reported by Variety, Actor and comedian James Austin Johnson, best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and his viral celebrity impressions, will release his debut hour stand-up special with 800 Pound Gorilla.
He’ll Yeah will be available exclusively on Gorilla Comedy+ beginning on August 17 before its YouTube premiere slated for September 22 at 7 PM CT on 800 Pound Gorilla’s YouTube channel.
James brings forward his many comedic talents to this unique and brilliantly funny hour. From Bob Dylan trying to murder Harry Potter to rodents dancing to marching band music, He’ll Yeah is a one-of-a-kind stand-up special, sketch movie and tour documentary recorded live across America. He brings characters, impressions, songs and other nonsense to bear in this wholly original hour. You’ll watch. You’ll laugh. He’ll yeah.
James says, “Ever since I was a kid, it was my dream to one day release my first comedy special, and also to go on a date with Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders. And I couldn’t be happier to be working with 800 Pound Gorilla to realize that first dream, and also frankly kind of annoyed that they aren’t taking the second dream more seriously.”
