On the most recent episode of AMC’s Talking with Chris Hardwick, actor / comic / director of hit horror film Get Out, Jordan Peele, stopped by to chat about the amazing year he’s been having.
Hardwick, also a multi-hyphenate overachiever, was curious about Peele’s transition from TV showrunner to Hollywood director, asking questions about set life and the difference between performing and directing. Always the one to pose a question perfectly, Hardwick asks first-time director Peele if he went into the gig “in character” as a director, and he got an unexpected response.
“I directed as Obama…maybe they’ll listen to Obama if they don’t listen to Jordan,” Peele joked, in his perfect presidential twang.
