This past weekend, as comedian Hasan Minhaj was hosting the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C., Sam Bee and the Full Frontal team were hosting their own historic event right down the street: the first ever “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” a counter-event promising a bigger, funnier, no-holds-barred party than the official WHCD itself.
And Bee delivered, with a completely unique, multi-segment event featuring unexpected cameos, multiple roasts, a scientific debate, a Q+A with Jake Tapper, a drop-in from former pres. George W. Bush, tributes to the media – even a performance from original Nasty Woman, Peaches.
The entire show streamed live online, at the same time at the official WHCD, and it’s been preserved in a series of clips for your viewing pleasure (and, of course, for the viewing pleasure of political historians for generations to come).
