Comedian Jim Tews is about to release his debut album, I Was In Band, and Rooftop Comedy has posted a one-track teaser to get everyone excited.
You may have seen Tews’ stand-up on festivals across the country, on Last Comic Standing, or on Louie; or, maybe you own a copy of his bestselling book, Felines of New York. And, if you’re a music fan, you’ve probably heard of his web series, “The Undone Sweaters,” an incredibly funny and beautifully shot show about a Weezer cover band (co-starring fellow comics Reid Faylor and Andrew Short).
His first album, I Was In Band, was recorded last year in Cleveland, Tews’ hometown, but it includes plenty of material on his current residence, NYC – like the track above, titled “New York Is OK.”
