The High Plains Comedy Festival has released their full schedule, announcing 25 shows that will make the Festival, now in it’s fourth year, the biggest yet. The announcement includes some last-minute talent additions as special guests, including local favorite Josh Blue and actress Maria Thayer.
The 25 shows that make up the High Plains final schedule feature stacked lineups, highlighting local and national talent with a wide range of delivery styles. Along with a handful of showcases, the Festival has more unique concept shows than ever, allowing audiences to see performers in a variety of ways.
The final schedule announcement also includes the addition of a live table read of an upcoming second season episode of truTV’s Those Who Can’t with The Grawlix (Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl, and Ben Roy), Ian Karmel and Thayer. The Grawlix have been in Los Angeles for most of the year, writing and filming season two of the popular truTV show, so the table read is sure to be a draw. The trio will also be hosting their traditional Festival Finale Show, which is always a crowd favorite. Joining The Grawlix on that bill will be Baron Vaughn, Bobcat Goldthwait, with a special appearance by Josh Blue, along with some secret special guest surprises.
Tickets for the Festival Headlining Show at the Paramount Theatre—featuring musical comedy duo Garfunkel & Oates, Kyle Kinane and Cameron Esposito—have already been on sale and selling quickly. In addition, all remaining shows are also now on sale right here. These tickets will be priced between $5 and $20, with most tickets at $10 or $15.
“Our main goal for the Festival this year is to offer the very best in talent and shows, but to keep it affordable for fans,” says Festival Founder and Executive Director Adam Cayton-Holland. “We want Denver audiences to see as many of these amazing performers as possible, and by keeping ticket prices low, we hope they come out to multiple shows. That way they can catch their favorites, but also find some new favorites along the way.”
The 4th Annual High Plains Comedy Festival is presented by truTV and will take place August 25th through 27th, at venues on South Broadway and Paramount Theatre in Denver. Some shows are expected to sell out quickly, so Festival-goers are encouraged to buy tickets early.
