NASHVILLE, TN: As reported by Deadline, popular NYC-based stand-up comedian Leonard Outzs will release his long awaited debut comedy special, Lil Sumn Sumn, with 800 Pound Gorilla. The special is available now exclusively on Gorilla Comedy+ and is heading to 800 Pound Gorilla’s YouTube channel on September 10 at 7 PM CT.
Leonard says, “You ever been to Texas Roadhouse? Well this is MY cinnamon butter rolls while I finish cooking the main course! It’s just a ‘Lil Sumn Sumn’ to put on your stomach.”
In Lil Sumn Sumn, Leonard delivers a sharp and personal stand-up set blending family stories, dating struggles, pop culture takes, and hilarious social observations. Growing up as a military brat in Chesapeake, Virginia, Leonard reflects on life with a Navy father, living in Japan after 9/11, and navigating parents returning to college while raising him. He shares funny and heartfelt stories about family dynamics, including being bribed with McDonald’s to keep secrets and coping with the loss of his mother before his father quickly remarried. He mixes vulnerability, sharp commentary, and laid-back charisma into a deeply funny hour of comedy.

Originally hailing from Chesapeake, VA, his work has been featured on every platform from HBO to MTV to Comedy Central. When he’s not on the road or on set, Leonard hosts “Young, Black, and Funny”, a live comedy show series he co-founded with friend and fellow comedian Vincent Bryant. Leonard started doing comedy on a broader level in 2012 and began hitting the stage locally, then traveling the region. His act is primarily centered around everything from family, to current events, and the things he notices while walking down the street.
