Netflix has announced the latest project from its multi-film deal with Adam Sandler, a wedding comedy co-starring Chris Rock called The Week Of.
The film, which takes place the week Sandler’s daughter marries Rock’s son, will be directed by Robert Smigel. News of its impending production comes just after Sandler’s third Netflix film, Sandy Wexler, hit the streaming service – and also, just after the network announced the stand-ups trifecta of films, which also includes The Do-Over and The Ridiculous 6, have been three of its biggest releases.
As previously announced, Sandler recently re-upped his deal with Netflix, signing on for four more films.
The Week Of begins shooting this summer in Long Island, with a release sometime in 2018.
