As co-host of How Did This Get Made, the podcast that celebrates bad movies, actor and comedian Paul Scheer is the closest thing to a C-movie expert there is — and it’s partly because, back in the day, he appeared in a few himself.
Before Scheer was a regular on Veep and former star of The League, he was racking up some less stellar credits, in films like Eddie Murphy space disaster Meet Dave.
He stopped by The Late Show to tell Stephen Colbert all about his less-than-impressive early career, and to give some updates on his life at home as a new father with wife June Diane Raphael.
“We are the most competitive to make these kids laugh,” Scheer says. “I’m like doing a full-on Carrot Top show nonstop.”
