Brooke Van Poppelen’s debut comedy album “Hard Feelings” coming this October

brooke-van-poppelen-hard-feelingsOn Thursday, October 13th, stand-up comedian and TV host Brooke Van Poppelen (truTV’s Hack My Life, @midnight, The Nightly Show) will release her debut comedy album Hard Feelings on all digital platforms with Sure Thing Records.

Recorded during SXSW 2016 in Austin, Hard Feelings is a collection of Van Poppelen’s favorite material that she’s created and performed over the past five years, drawing from personal struggles with anxiety, living in NYC, self-image, stressful salad bars, failed relationships, and family nonsense, with a dash of non sequitur goofiness. And if you happen to be in New York City, she will celebrate the album’s release on Saturday, October 15th – 10pm at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3.

“It’s about time I finally put together an album and thankfully was able to record it with Sure Thing in Austin, TX, my comedy home away from home. My energy was through the roof that night and I had a blast just basking in the experience of a crowd coming out to support a live recording” said Van Poppelen about the release.

Brooke Van Poppelen is a NYC-based comic, actress, writer, and host. She’s appeared on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, @Midnight, and John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show on Comedy Central, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, IFC’s Comedy Drop, and the upcoming first season of Night Train hosted by Wyatt Cenac for NBC’s Seeso. She has appeared as a guest on ABC’s The View and Dr. Oz and as a talking head and panelist on multiple MTV, truTV and VH1 shows. Van Poppelen has worked as a writer and producer for several seasons of Girl Code and Guy Code and many other MTV shows.
