Why only add one more season when you can add two? That is exactly what the folks behind Amazon’s Catastrophe were thinking. So seasons three and four are officially on the books. Production on the six-episode third season is expected to begin in November for a 2017 release.
“We are thrilled to be making a third [season],” Horgan and Delaney said in a statement. “Rob and Sharon are a blast to spend time with, and we’re not talking about ourselves in the third person, we’re talking about the characters. We’re eager to breathe life back into Rob and Sharon. Okay, now we are talking about us.”
Catastrophe stars Sharon Horgan as Sharon Morris and Rob Delaney as Rob Norris, who get together after she falls pregnant following a brief affair while he is in the UK on business. Carrie Fisher, Ashley Jensen, and Mark Bonnar play supporting characters in the series.
The show was nominated for a Peabody Award.
