Today, HBO announced the air date for Chris Gethard’s latest special, Career Suicide: you can finally see the show yourself on May 6th.
Universally loved by critics, and the audiences who sold out the show’s NYC performances for months, Career Suicide is a one-man show about “suicide, depression, alcoholism, and all the other funniest parts of life.” This might sound like a bumout, but Gethard’s specialty is taking the darker parts of life and turning them into something beautiful – which is how he’s built a cult following around his groundbreaking TV series, The Chris Gethard Show.
Career Suicide was shot at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre in New York City, and the special was produced by Judd Apatow, who also presented the off-Broadway performances. It airs May 6th on HBO.
