Here’s some scary news: last night, comedian John Caparulo was attacked at The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California.

When Caparulo made a Trump mention – not even a joke, more a tag on the end of another bit – a woman in the front row responded with an irate “F*ck you!”
“No, f*ck you, stupid,” Caparulo laughed back, which is, let’s face it, a totally acceptable comeback when someone shouts out during what should be a one-sided performance.
He went on to ask, “What are you, his mom? Am I the first one to dislike Trump?” The audience was totally on his side, laughing along with him, while the woman shouted “I’ll go!”
Eventually, she does, but on her way out she throws a glass – at close range – straight at Caparulo.
The comic was clearly shocked, but refrained from retaliating and let the heckler exit.
Instead of enlightening Caparulo, the woman’s actions turned the entire room against her – and the politician she was acting in the name of. As Caparulo regrouped, chants of “F*ck Trump!” echoed in the club. “Thank you, she was a bitch all night,” one audience member applauded.
Some people really can’t take a joke.
