Comedian Kyle Grooms is going through a tough time right now. Yesterday Grooms had to undergo surgery to remove a brain tumor unexpectedly in his hometown of Miami. As it always seems to be the case, Grooms found himself without insurance just a month ago. Because it’s made up of a collection of great people, the comedy community has rallied around Grooms to show support for one of their own and raise a few dollars to pay for his medical bills. Comedian Marina Franklin started a GoFundMe page for Grooms and is giving updates as they come in.

Kyle is out of surgery. Doctor’s feel good about the outcome. He is stable and being monitored. Kyle has to recover and rest- no cell phones- ( shoot we could all do that).. and relax. The family wants to thank everyone for their love and prayers. They are grateful and humbled by the support. More updates coming soon…
Speaking firsthand, we’ve seen Kyle many times in the clubs over the years, not only is he a great comedian, he’s by all accounts both a terrific friend and citizen of the world. While thoughts and prayers are always welcome, some financial assistance is needed as well.
