Doug Benson is going to court, The High Court. Beginning in early 2017 Comedy Central will be in the business of getting Benson stoned. Benson will then rule over cases in small claims court. A concept that was loosely born from Benson and JASH’s Youtube show, Getting Doug With High.
Said Benson: “Got a f-ed up legal problem? Who better to solve it than someone who is super f-ed up?”
The show will take a People’s Court type of style where both parties agree in advance to have the case settled in The High Court (THC). Then Judge Doug retires to his chambers with a guest bailiff, they get very stoned and deliberate and then return a judgement. The show will be Adult Swim style and last 15 minutes and premiere in early Q1 2017.
Gary Mann and Daniel Wolfberg are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central. JASH and Propagate will co-produce the series.
