Next month, Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper is going to fix our nation’s rampant gun problem, in a Comedy Central special titled Jordan Klepper Solves Guns.
Much like The Daily Show itself, Klepper’s hour-long special will be part tongue-in-cheek comedic takes on hot topics, part investigative journalism combining interviews and field pieces to explore both sides of a charged debate.
It’s America’s split opinion on gun control that Klepper and his team will focus on, according to the host himself.
“This special isn’t just about America’s relationship with guns—it’s about how needlessly toxic the debate around that issue has become,” Klepper explained. “Also, doing my part to bring the country together, I show my ass on television.”
In addition to showing his ass, Klepper hangs out with some members of a Georgia militia, trains with a former Army soldier, and interviews gun owners, NRA activists, and Senator Cory Booker, among others.
Jordan Klepper Solves Guns airs June 11th on Comedy Central, and it will also stream on cc.com and the Comedy Central app.
