Daniel Sloss shares his fantasies about tripping a small child with an ice cream cone. And that is just the tip of what’s currently on his brain these days. Enjoy his most recent and fifth performance on Conan.
If you are unfamiliar with Sloss, you should get familiar ASAP. He is a Scottish comedian, actor, and writer who rose to fame in his teens. The youngest comedian to perform a solo season in London’s West End at 19, Sloss has been starting to develop a name here in the United States. A veteran of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2008, he’s gone on to perform eight shows there over the last eight years bringing his most recent, Daniel Sloss: Dark, to New York City earlier year. It was his first time in the Big Apple and we were there to witness it at the New York Comedy Playhouse. It was nothing short of genius. This show had also see the light of day at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall.
His television show credits stretch a mile long with his list of US appearances including Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Comedy Central’s @midnight. He’s won the International Award for “Best of the Fest” at the 2016 Sydney Comedy Festival. And we don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. We were able to spend some time with Sloss while he was in New York City and you can check out our interview right here on The Laugh Button Podcast. He might not have been on Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch list, however, he’s on our International Comics to Watch List and will no doubt break out in the US sooner rather than later. He’ll be in good company alongside the Russell Peters and Tim Minchin’s when he does.
