Comedian Dave Chappelle will host the third annual Diamond Ball, Rihanna’s black tie gala that’ll feature a headlining performance from Kendrick Lamar, among may others.
According to Vibe, the annual charitable event benefits Rihanna’s own non-profit, the Clara Lionel Foundation, which focuses on raising funds for education, health, and emergency response.
Past Diamond Ball hosts include actor Brad Pitt and comic Kevin Hart, so affable Chappelle should be a perfect fit to host to celeb-packed evening, which will take place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
The Diamond Ball falls towards the end of Chappelle’s current long-running tour; he’s in the midst of criss-crossing the country with openers Donnell Rawlings and Ashley Barnhill.
The stand-up’s latest projects, a pair of specials released simultaneously on Netflix last month, are now streaming.
