THEY’RE COMING: two never-seen Dave Chappelle stand-up specials – previously recorded hours from the performer’s “personal comedy vault” – will both go live on Netflix on March 21st. The Age of Spin, was filmed at The Palladium in Los Angeles in March 2016, and Deep in the Heart of Texas, was filmed at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, TX in April 2015
The specials, the first to be released on the streaming platform, have been highly anticipated, to say the least, long before the network announced they’d stream them last November. They will be the first Chappelle has released since 2004’s For What It’s Worth.
This new teaser show nobody’s safe from Chappelle’s no-fucks-given judgment — in less than a minute and a half, he name checks MLK, OJ, and even Bigfoot, so who knows what we can expect from the famously unpredictable stand-up:
