When he’s not hilariously contributing to the the sketch “Between Two DeRays” on Hood Adjacent, DeRay Davis will be prepping to tape a new stand-up comedy special for Netflix. It will be Davis’ first for the streaming giant and a followup to the 2011 special, Power Play. In the time between, the comedian has hosted a few shows like Joking Off, and Hollywood Squares.
Davis is set to tape the special this on August 19th at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta (tickets here). The event is currently titled DeRay and Chill. While there’s no official word on what the special will be titled, chances are that will not be it.
There’s also no word on when the special will be released on Netflix but chances are we’ll get it before the end of the year.
