Congratulations to Doug Benson, for generally managing to have the kind of career where becoming a stoned judge is a logical career move, and also for winning @midnight’s 2017 Tournament of Champions competition, a weeks-long bracket bringing the show’s funniest minds together to find out who’s the absolute #1 funniest.
Benson beat out Moshe Kasher and Milana Vayntrub in the final round; to get there, he had to breeze past comics Ron Funches, Mamrie Hart, Jesse Joyce, Kyle Kinane, and Megan Neuringer. He’s replacing @midnight pro Paul F. Tompkins, the only other Tournament of Champions winner in the show’s history.
