Forget Richard Simmons: Jude Tedmori’s “Missing Jay Leno” searches Burbank for a comedy legend

Over the past few weeks, the much-hyped premiere and unexpected end of podcast Missing Richard Simmons caused an absolute frenzy online, with rabid fans fighting critics of host Dan Taberski’s invasive interview tactics.

But none of that’s important, because there’s a much bigger search taking place: comedian Jude Tedmori’s ongoing quest to track down former Tonight Show host Jay Leno, now three years into retirement. With a recent appearance on Fallon, it’s not like Leno’s mysteriously missing or anything, but… wouldn’t it be fun to try to find him, anyways?

Tedmori’s new podcast, Missing Jay Leno, takes the host and his guests to Leno’s favorite, former haunts – like, the Burbank studios where Leno used to film his show, and, um, presumably a bunch of vintage car garages and denim wholesale shops?

Guests so far include comics Josh Androsky and Tommy McNamara.
