Oh Fox, you still have yet to make a legitimate late night show work for pretty much anything. We don’t need to run down the list of late night failures but we can at least add another one to it.
At the recent upfronts, the Murdoch network announced that their late night legacy is still intact. The network is canceling The Wanda Sykes Show. The Saturday night show underperformed in the ratings tremendously, gaining lower numbers then, Mad TV, the show it replaced.
This move does further validate the theory that Conan O’Brien deciding not to take his late night talk show to Fox was a good idea – since the network has yet to prove to make anything sticky in the late night realm.
