Get some some career advice from 25 of your favorite comedians

Comedians are incredible businessmen. From hustling to get shows, to perfecting their product, they spend years fine-tuning what works and what doesn’t, turning into experts on their craft – and on how to stay sane while chasing a totally crazy career.

Helpfully, Luis J. Gomez – comedian, Roastmasters producer, and one of the minds behind the GAS Digital podcast network – has compiled a list of legit career advice from his funny friends.

Gomez canvassed pals like Mark Normand, Bonnie McFarlane, Robert Kelly, Mike Lawrence, and Jim Norton to find the advice that’s stuck with them over the years.

Some of it is sort of “no-duh” – Dave Attell told Sam Morril, “Get funnier!” – but there’s quite a bit of zen wisdom within (Tracy Morgan told Gary Vider: “Whatever idea you have, don’t let anyone tell you if it’s good or bad.”)
