Comedian and Baywatch star Hannibal Buress just gave a great commencement speech — sort of. The stand-up was visiting Stephen Colbert over at The Late Show and was apparently unable to resist jumping on the bandwagon of comics giving hilariously inspirational talks to 2017’s graduation seniors — following Kumail Nanjiani’s appearance at his alma mater, Grinnell College, and Will Ferrell’s Whitney Houston-soundtracked speech at USC.
Buress may not have been addressing a specific school’s seniors, choosing instead to use The Late Show stage to speak to students at The University of College (assumedly where school of life dropouts end up).
“I’m so honored to be here in this city that your school happens to be in,” Buress opens, and the vaguely motivating talk only gets blurrier from there.
