Hannibal Buress is sponsoring Brazilian WMMA fighter Janaisa Morandin

Hannibal Buress is diversifying, the comedian/actor is branching out into sports, by becoming an official sponsor of Brazilian WMMA fighter Janaisa Morandin. An idea he discussed on a recent episode of his podcast, The Handsome Rambler. And his sponsorship comes with some sweet perks, like a fun new uniform emblazoned with Buress’ face: Buress told MMAfighting.com all about his decision to sponsor Morandin, who currently holds a 9-0 record. “I looked at her highlights,” he says of the legwork he put in. “I saw she was undefeated and watched some clips and stuff. I liked the nickname ‘Evil Princess.’ The decision, it was thoughtful and impulsive at the same time…There wasn’t a lot of science to it. I just like to do different things and just have different experiences. I’ve done a bunch of different things in the business and this will be a new experience.” The match Morandin was supposed to fight in this weekend, her first with Buress’s sponsorship, at the Invicta FC 22 event was cancelled because she failed to make her weight — but at least she’s got a sweet new outfit, and a fun new friend to hang with after matches.
