Iliza Shlesinger is getting her own late night talk show on Freeform

Stand-up Iliza Shlesinger is getting her very own late night talk show, and it’s coming soon – Truth & Iliza, named after the comics’ long-running podcast, premieres May 2nd on Freeform.

According to Deadline, “[e]ach episode of Truth & Iliza will center on a themed question that the host will try to answer using audience interaction, field pieces, commentary and, of course, jokes.”

This won’t be the first show Shlesinger’s hosted, but it’s the first that she’ll have total control over; previously, she’s hosted game shows Seperation Anxiety and Excused. And of course, she’s always been comfortable onscreen, since she made her debut on the original run of Last Comic Standing.

Shelesinger’s got a lot going on right now – her ABC digital show, Forever 31, was just renewed for a second season, and her first book, Girl Logic: Understanding That You Make Sense When You Make No Sense At All hits stores this November.

Truth & Iliza premieres May 2nd on Freeform. Until then, you can catch up on episodes of Truth & Iliza the podcast, which has nearly a hundred archived episodes.
