Late night has a new host, and it’s Iliza Shlesinger, who’s bringing her long-running podcast Truth & Iliza to the screen in a new weekly show of the same name, streaming now on Freeform (the first episode’s also available on Hulu, above).
The new half-hour show isn’t exactly like Iliza’s free-flowing, conversational podcast – it’s got a much more late night-y vibe, from the semi-traditional monologue (hers is done in song) to the celebrity interview (in episode one, Iliza sits down with Blossom / Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, who happens to admit she’s a huge fan).
The debut episode also features a fun pre-taped parody commercial, some social media “new rules,” and the promise that every following episode will be centered on some kind of theme, chosen by the host.
