HBO just confirmed the March debut dates for the comedy special Jerrod Carmichael: 8 and the second season of Animals.
Jerrod Carmichael: 8 debuts Saturday, March 11th at 10pm. Taped in December, this exclusive presentation features the hot comedy star in his second HBO special.
Carmichael is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He’s best known for creating and playing the lead role in the NBC television series The Carmichael Show. In 2014, he also released a stand-up HBO comedy special called Jerrod Carmichael: Love at the Store filmed by Spike Lee that he shot at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood.
Animals. kicks off its ten-episode second season Friday, March 17th at 11:30pm. Created by Phil Matarese & Mike Luciano and produced by Duplass Brothers Television, this animated adult comedy series focuses on the downtrodden creatures native to Earth’s least-habitable environment: New York City. Whether it’s lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of non-human urbanites prove startlingly similar to our own.
