Finally, a first look at truTV’s latest scripted comedy, I’m Sorry!
I’m Sorry was created by and stars Andrea Savage (Veep, Episodes) as a comedy writer trying to keep her crazy family together. In the first clip from the series (above), Savage explains how vaginas work to her toddler daughter, which sets a pretty good tone for the kind of no-holds-barred humor we can expect from the show.
Tom Everett Scott (who recently reunited with his That Thing You Do band, The Wonders) will play Savage’s husband, and the rest of their co-stars have just been announced, and it’s going to be a great ensemble cast, with Judy Greer (Arrested Development), Jason Mantzoukas (The House, The League), Kathy Baker (Edward Scissorhands, The Ranch), Nelson Franklin (Veep), Martin Mull (Veep), Lyndon Smith (Parenthood, Public Morals),Gary Anthony Williams (The Boondocks), and Steve Zissis (Togetherness) appearing as regulars; there’ll also be guest spots from John Ross Bowie, Lizzy Caplan, Jamie Denbo, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, and Kulap Vilaysack.
I’m Sorry premieres July 12th on truTV.
