Late Night with Seth Meyers will air a special live episode Monday, September 26th at 12:35am from Studio 8G in Rockefeller Center and will incorporate post-debate discussion during the telecast. Will Forte (FOX’s Last Man On Earth) and Mandy Moore (NBC’s This Is Us) will appear as guests.
Late Night will air only a few hours following the highly anticipated first debate between Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, that will be moderated by NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt.
The former Saturday Night Live cast member and head writer has followed fellow SNL alumnus Jimmy Fallon to become the fourth host of the late-night NBC series. Armed with his sharp wit, Meyers delivers a monologue from his desk, and welcomes celebrity guests, comedy and musical talent to the stage. The 8G Band serves as the house band, helmed by another Saturday Night Live alumnus, Fred Armisen, as well as Seth Jabour, Syd Butler, Eli Janney and Marnie Stern. The band often features guest musicians, sometimes for a weeklong stint.
Meyers’ other credits include appearances in The Interview, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, American Dreamz, Perception, The Mindy Project, The Office, The Awesomes, Portlandia, Difficult People, and has hosted events including the Primetime Emmy Awards, and the ESPY Awards. He’s written for the Golden Globe Awards and is the Co-Creator, Writer, Executive Producer of IFC’s Documentary Now!
