Joe Sib is just a week away from releasing his debut stand-up comedy album, Nowhere Near The Top on 800 LB Gorilla records. Sib’s life is a super interesting one. He was the lead singer of the 90s alternative/punk band WAX. He co-founded the influential California record label SideOneDummy Records. He had a one man show called California Calling about growing up punk rock. He’s the guy Matt Sharp was mimicking at the beginning of Weezer’s “Undone (The Sweater Song)” – true story, look it up.
However, for the last handful of years, Sib has also been working hard at stand-up comedy working out of clubs up and down Southern California talking about his life as a husband, father, and how he’s always working at it and not always succeeding because of his punk rock lifestyle.
