This week on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld and Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels stroll the streets of NYC before heading to The Monkey Bar in a 1955 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing. Michaels still produces SNL, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and the new NBC variety show Maya & Marty. Other recent credits include Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Adele Live in New York City, Documentary Now!, and Staten Island Summer. He’s got two more projects in the works including Masterminds and Brother in Laws. The former stars Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Jason Sudeikis, Zach Galifianiakis and is directed by Jared Hess. The latter stars Bill Pullman, Gillian Jacobs, Rachael Harris, Taran Killam, Bobby Moynihan, Kenan Thompson, and David Wain.
The eighth season of the Emmy® nominated series is comprised of six episodes, with a new episode streaming every Thursday night. Other Season 8 guests include (not in air-order): comedienne Margaret Cho, actor JB Smoove, stand-up comic Jim Gaffigan, Last Week Tonight host John Oliver and writer/producer of some of the biggest hit films, Judd Apatow. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee won the PGA Award for “Outstanding Digital Series.”
