Few other Saturday Night Live hosting gigs have been as highly anticipated as Melissa McCarthy’s spot this weekend: after taking the world by storm with a surprise Sean Spicer cameo earlier this season, McCarthy’s become a regular guest and a topic of hot debate in thinkpieces and on panel shows for months, taking heat from Trump himself while helping change the way comedy covers politics.
And now, McCarthy’s getting her own whole episode, and we can’t wait to see what else she gets up to – judging by the musical behind-the-scenes promo for this week’s show, she’ll be bringing Spicer back (duh), and she’s taking the role as serious as ever.
