Nope, it’s still not an April Fool’s joke – the highly anticipated season three premiere of Rick and Morty will be airing on Adult Swim every night this week.
The network couldn’t have chosen a more confusing (or, really, perfect) date to unveil the first episode of the animated show’s third season, which won’t premiere until much later this summer. On April 1st, an episode titled “The Rickshank Redemption” went live on adultswim.com, and at first, everyone was sure it was a goof — it’s been quite awhile since the cult hit’s second season, and fans have been freaking out about the upcoming new batch of episodes, so it seemed too good to be true that we’d get one so soon.
But it was real! And while “The Rickshank Redemption” is no longer online, Adult Swim has announced they’ll be airing the episode every night this week at 10pm ET.
