NYC’s Skankfest is announcing their lineup with Garbage Pail Kid-inspired illustrations of Artie Lange, Burt Kreischer, Dan Soder and more

Skankfest – the Long Island City comedy festival hosted by Legion of Skanks podcast co-hosts Big Jay Oakerson, Luis J. Gomez, and Dave Smith – celebrates its second anniversary this summer, over the weekend of June 23-25. Instead of announcing the entire lineup at once, the Skankfest team is teasing out names all week on Twitter – and they’re doing it in style, with Garbage Pail Kid-inspired illustrations of their headliners. So far, they’ve announced Artie Lange, Ron Bennington, Duncan Trussell, Dan Soder, Joe List, Burt Kreischer, Comedy Central’s Comedy Jam host Josh Adam Meyers with a Goddamn Karaoke Jam, and Zac Amico’s Naked Roast show (which is exactly what it sounds like). Billed as the “anti-comedy festival,” Skankfest holds true to its founders own comedy philosophies: the fest is anti-PC, free for comics to apply to, and everyone who gets onstage gets paid. These announced performers are just a few of the faces you’ll see at Skankfest this summer, so we highly recommend snapping up a weekend pass – sure, there’ll be tons of shows to check out, but with so many amazing comics around all weekend, there’s sure to be lots of surprises. Skankfest tickets go on sale Monday, April 3rd at 9am ET at creeklic.com.
