Patton Oswalt and Glenn Howerton team up on new NBC pilot from “SNL” alum Mike O’Brien

Comedian Patton Oswalt and Always Sunny star Glenn Howerton will co-star in a new comedy sitcom for NBC, reports Variety, with Seth Meyers serving as producer.

The show is currently untitled, though it was called AP Bio for awhile, and it comes from former Saturday Night Live writer Mike O’Brien, also well known for his intimate interview series, 7 Minutes in Heaven with Mike O’Brien.

The series will follow Howerton, “a hilariously cynical Ivy League professor who loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school biology teacher where he imposes his unorthodox teaching style and uses the kids to plot out revenge on those who wronged him.” Oswalt will play his new boss, Principal Durbin.

Sounds like a less explicit, more eccentric Eastbound and Down; and whether Oswalt and Howerton end up BFFs or enemies, they’re sure to have amazing(ly hilarious) chemistry.
