Stop what you’re doing right now and read the Vulture interview with Quincy Jones. It’s one of the most honest interviews a famous person has given. Jones at the age of 85 reveals super-intimate details about his life as a music producer – that The Beatles were talentless, Michael Jackson ripped off other musicians, who shot JFK… that sh*t is wild, wild, wild. It’s just the type of interviews we don’t get much of these days.
One of the more salacious moments of the interview is when Jones details the sexual prowess of actor Marlon Brando
[Marlon] Brando used to go cha-cha dancing with us. He could dance his ass off. He was the most charming motherf*cker you ever met. He’d f*ck anything. Anything! He’d f*ck a mailbox. James Baldwin. Richard Pryor. Marvin Gaye.
The revelation isn’t that shocking as Pryor mentioned in his autobiography that he sex with various men and Brando was known to be openly bisexual and had rumored flings with both James Dean and Cary Grant.
TMZ followed up on the story and reached out to Pryor’s widow Jennifer and she indeed confirmed it stating that Richard would have no shame about Quincy’s comments and that her husband was always very open about his bisexuality with friends and documenting it in his diaries, adding the colorful quote.
“It was the ’70s! Drugs were still good, especially quaaludes. If you did enough cocaine, you’d f*ck a radiator and send it flowers in the morning.”
Quincy Jones doesn’t seem to be much of a liar.
