Scovel, a brilliantly offbeat performer who’s completely unpredictable onstage, is always thrilling to watch, live or recorded; whether he’s doing full sets in faux European accents, ditching material to scale the stage decorations, or goading fellow comics into impromptu gospel concerts, Scovel’s a joy to watch.
