Thanks to comedy angel Melissa McCarthy, all eyes have been on Saturday Night Live’s political coverage for the past few weeks – specifically, to see who else pops up with an unexpected Trump cabinet member cameo.
It’s mostly been a ladies game, for maximum boundary-pushing and alt-right-annoying, but one actor has unexpectedly (and very excitedly) thrown his name into the mix: Zach Braff.
This week, one of the internet’s (formerly) most-hated people volunteered to play this week’s most hated person, White House advisor Steven Miller, who made his debut just three days ago and has already been owned by everyone from Stephen Colbert to the New York Times.
Braff is into the idea of playing Miller:
And he has an in – looks like he was already on set this past Saturday.Dear Lorne, I will shave my head to play this guy. Pleeeease. @nbcsnl pic.twitter.com/60p0TEPh7N

It makes sense, because Zach’s got politics in his blood — he’s related to Mitt Romney. (In fact, apparently, they’re both distantly related to Rebecca Nurse, one of the highest-profile targets of the Salem Witch Trials — completely unrelated to all this, but very cool!)SNL!!! pic.twitter.com/CgMcRQPTou
