Comedian D.J. Demers returned to Conan for his second stand-up performance last night, but this time, something was different: the Canadian comic — who won the 2014 Homegrown Comics competition at Just For Laughs in Montreal — is an American now (well, maybe not legally, but he lives here at least).
Demers (who, in addition to being hilarious, happens to be deaf) talked about his fairly recent move — “I looked at the current political climate and I said, ‘Now is the time,’” he jokes — and about how sometimes, his handicap can be helpful.
