Silicon Valley star Thomas Middleditch is officially branching out from comedy, with the announcement that he’ll be joining the cast of a forthcoming Godzilla sequel.
Middleditch will co-star alongside Stranger Things heroine Millie Bobby Brown, and Friday Night Lights #1 coach, Kyle Chandler, in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. While the horror / sci-fi movie hasn’t even started filming yet, it does have an official release date: May 22, 2019. Warner Brothers has also announced a third Godzilla film in the works, mash-up Godzilla vs. Kong, slated for a 2020 release (no word on the cast yet, beyond the two titular monsters).
The fourth season of Middleditch’s hit Silicon Valley is airing now on HBO, with a fifth coming sometime in 2018.
