There was a third table visit set for the Weekend Update table on this weekend’s ep of Saturday Night Live. Tom Hanks introduced the character of stand-up comedian Paul Cannon and crashed the party with Kyle Mooney’s Bruce Chandling. This might be the first time Hanks has performed stand-up since starring in the movie Punchline. Cannon manages to do the one thing that Chandling doesn’t, and that’s tell jokes that make Michael Che laugh. Poor Bruce Chandling, he can never catch a break.
