Earlier this week, comedian Tom Papa celebrated a pretty huge milestone: the 15th anniversary of the first time he performed stand-up on television. And what better way to commemorate the event than by performing stand-up, on television, in front of the very host who first welcomed him onstage?
Way back in 2002 — on June 12, 2002 to be exact — a younger and greener Papa ventured on to his first network set, delivering an unforgettable (albeit not on YouTube) set that helped propel him to the fame he’s enjoyed as a highly acclaimed touring comic ever since.
So on June 14, 2017, Conan was sure to invite Papa back to reminisce about his first time onstage, and to perform once again, with 15 years more experience under his belt.
Papa is currently on tour, and his latest special, Human Mule, is out now.
