Tracy Morgan is back with his first stand-up special since the 2014 traffic collision that nearly ended his life – and, in an hour cheekily titled Staying Alive, expect Morgan to tell his side of that story.
The trailer that Netflix just released gives a quick taste of Staying Alive, showing there are jokes, of course, but there’ll also be more heartfelt moments, as “Morgan cleverly tackles recovery, the trials of family and getting a second shot at life and marriage.” The accident, which also involved comic Ardie Fuqua and claimed the life of Morgan’s friend James McNair, sidelined the former SNL cast member for quite some time as he recuperated and spent some much-needed time with his wife and kids.
Covering every angle of the Staying Alive theme, Morgan’s making his comeback in a Travolta-inspired white suit – and, we hope he’s got a few dance moves, too. The special premieres May 16th
