In Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween, Madea winds up in the middle of mayhem when she spends a hilarious, haunted Halloween fending off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls and zombies while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens.
The upcoming horror comedy film was written and directed by Perry. The ida for the film originated from a fictitious Madea Halloween movie from Chris Rock’s 2014 film Top Five. This isn’t the firs time a full length feature has come from a spoof tease within another film. The same can be said for Machete and Machete Kills. They spawned from a fake trailer found in 2007’s Grindhouse double-feature and took on a life of their own. Unfortunately, the fake trailer for Scorcher at the top of Tropic Thunder never saw the light of day as a full length.
Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween is only the second Madea film not to be adapted from a stage play. The film stars Perry alongside Bella Thorne, Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Adre Hall, Yousef Erakat and Diamond White.
