The A.V. Club’s 4th annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival – that is, the fourth edition of their festival, the 26th Annual Comedy Festival – takes over Chicago from May 31st to June 4th, and they’ve just announced an amazing lineup of performers and special events to get you excited about it.
Comedians Patton Oswalt, Aparna Nancherla, Bobcat Goldthwait, Caitlin Gill, Ian Abramson, Nathan Fielder, Adam Conover, Jena Friedman, Krystyna Hutchinson, and Corinne Fisher will be appearing, with more TBA.
Legendary director Christopher Guest will be on hand to present a “Modern School of Film,” and Mike Judge will host a very timely screening of his not-so-futuristic sci-fi comedy, Idiocracy.
There’ll be a Nathan For You preview, an Adventures of Pete and Pete reunion, and even a “Comedy for Change” conference, a ”day-and-a-half event will bring together experts, change-makers, creatives, and comedians to explore the role comedy can play in creating social and political change in an increasingly polarized world.”
